happy, happy day
Jul. 11th, 2004 06:09 pmSo naturally had amazing time with Jeff. We haven't seen each other in AGES. He came over, we sat down and properly caught up on all that's gone on. He was very indulgent and cooed over each and every one of my new plants. Unfortunately, he was a bit under the weather, recovering from a nagging cold. So we chilled, talked and then set out for Maggie's Bluff for some lunch.
It was a gorgeous day out and we happily found the place easily. I'd only been there once before and was navigating from month old memory. Soup, sandwiches, and a ridiculously good bread pudding later, we sat and continued to just talk about everything under the sun. Our relationships, work, movies, politics, and cats.
Back to my place, Greenlake abandoned because Jeff was still worn out from his cold. Walking into my apartment, we paused so I could check my mailbox. There was a surprise waiting! Greg (my ever darling boyf) had sent me a surprise present! Clannad - Greatest Hits. I squealed up 3 flights of stairs.
Jeff and I chatted some more and he set out for home. I ripped open the cd and have been listening to it ever since. I'm not sure I've ever heard them before, but it's beautiful music, hauntingly sweet. I swear even Hobbes loves it. He's sitting happily next to the speakers, purrrrrring. As am I.
