Email from Judy this morning about Amanda's class yesterday.
Me: I really liked the last class. I still didn't have the endurance to keep up for all of it, but I felt I could actually follow THIS routine. I liked this one a lot.
Judy: AHHHAHAHAHHAAHH! Ok, I'm laughing AT you--you nut, that's one of her harder routines, you're just getting BETTER at it, you DID follow this one better, I totally noticed! YAY!
*blink*
When Greg asked me last night how it went, I told him I sucked as always. But I did feel like the routine was easier to follow. I had to revert to basic step when I was, you know, dying of exhaustion, but I thought the steps made more sense and I could understand what she was saying.
So sore this morning. Downed a galactic ton of ibuprofen cause my knees are not of the happy. My arms are sore because we did all kinds of painful weight lifting, too. The only thing that keeps me going in that class is the dream that someday, just maybe, I won't suck so terribly at it.
And as much as I bitch and moan about it, I realize that I actually sort of, um, kind of look forward to the class now. I know it'll hurt, but as John Cougar once howled, it'll hurt so good.
It's nice to use my tenacity for good instead of evil, for a change.
