I should have been more prepared for this, but I wasn't. I really thought we'd come through. In the words of the immortal Vinzini, it's fucking INCONCEIVEABLE.
For the past four years I've increasingly hated the Bush administration, but tonight I'm pretty fixed on my disgust with 51% of this country. Four more years of lies and deceit and god-empowered bullshit. Four more years of fascism and legislative homophobia and economic distress.
WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING?
No, I'm not going to talk of fleeing to Canada. I'm just going to have to fight the battles that are sure to come as this administration, encouraged by victory, continues to drive this country into the ground.
Time to hunker down and wait out another horrible four years and hope that nothing irreversible transpires.
Very tired now. Hate everything.
