I feel so yucky today. Tired out and sad. I don't know why. Came home last night and watched the last two episodes of x-files season 7. Mulder and Scully were so cute it made me cry. Watching Skinner fighting back tears was impressive.
Then I went to bed and read a bit before falling asleep. It was one of those nights where I know I dreamed heavily but I can't remember any of it.
I had my one-on-one with my boss yesterday and it went very well. It was clear from what he said that they both want and intend to keep me on indefinitely, it's just a matter of figuring out how to do it. He said it was easier to extend contracts, but that establishing permanence was sometimes tricky. However, his boss, the head of our division, is already working on it. So that's nice. I refuse to get my hopes up until the ink is dry, but I have some solid optimism going on.
It's also been nice to see my contributions pan out. I was thanked (along with others) for my contributions to a recent project. I've been given more and more assignments. I've been thanked by co-workers for my help with their projects. Jeff The Magnificent even came to find me the other day so we could work on fixing an awkward sentence together. So work rules. I have a full day of training on our software product tomorrow. Have to be in by 7:30am. I'm completely paranoid about forgetting and not waking up. I've already set my alarm, and plan on going to bed at 10 tonight. It's a really complicated system so I'm nervous about being the dumbest kid in the class. But hopefully it'll be okay.
