Despite the fact that I've woken up a bit cranky and don't want to work and it's raining, I have to admit that the extra bit of sleep last night has done me good. Imagine that. Get an adequate amount of sleep and you don't feel like hammered shit. Who'd a thought!

Finally rented Blackadder II. I never thought Rowan Atkinson could be so funny. I loathe the whole Mr Bean stuff and really couldn't see him doing anything useful. I'd really only rented this out of my love for Stephen Fry, so this was a bonus. Hilarious stuff. Miranda Richardson is hysterical as Elizabeth, too.

Oooh. New SiP today, too! Second in the David arc.

So I dropped a netflix disc with sleeve on the floor next to my desk. Hobbes immediately uncurled himself from the edge of the bed, walked right over and sat possessively on it. He hasn't moved for an hour. Apparently he doesn't think I can handle Y Tu Mamá También.

Life without you is like a broken pencil.

Ahh. That was good. I require Blackadder the Third immediately now.

More Xfiles. Season 6 will soon be done, and I'll have to find something else to obsess about.

Moving away from my profound and obvious love for Scully and Mulder, let's take a moment to praise a side character I also love: Arthur Dales.

Watching The Unnatural and while this isn't the first episode he appears in, I just love the guy. Though I sorta hate the whole "I'm Arthur Dales, the brother of the other Arthur Dales" thing. I mean, wtf was even the point of that? Anyhow, maybe he's a little too one-dimensional good, but I don't give a damn. I just want to hug him for being such a straight-shooting, decent person.

This episode also seems to mark the first of Jesse L Martin's tv appearances. He is so very adorable in this episode.

Okay. Enough of that. Back to cooing at Scully/Mulder. Where Mulder teaches Scully to hit a baseball? Could they be more adorabe? Could that scene have been written for any purpose other than to get all the Scully/Mulder shippers moist?

As Sarah and I were discussing the other night, they define the concept of chemistry. So much so that you want to bludgeon whoever thought an entire season of Buffy and Riley was ok.

Never having seen Gillian Anderson in anything but Xfiles, I wonder if the chemistry is brought in by David Duchovny who made the sappiest movie known to man, Return to Me, absolutely charming. I remember incredulously watching it, thinking, "Holy SHIT this is sappy," and yet cooing all the same. Great chemistry with Minnie Driver in that movie. And the other chick he acted with briefly.

And quite frankly I don't give a shit if I sound like a raving fangirl. The guy is freaking hot.

Anyhow, the baseball scene reminds me of high school. And for once? It's not painful.

I don't think I've seen this episode before. Three of a Kind.

*gape* Watching Scully drugged and flirting. And omg it's the guy from Dreamland.

*runs in circles shrieking*

Awwww Frohike to the rescue.

Ok, less delighted watching Langly shooting Suzanne Modeski. Ewww hello spray of blood. At least he's wearing glasses.

See, people? Goggles when we're going to be around gushing blood. GOGGLES.

Ewww he licked the bloody carpet. That's as bad as Gimli licking that leaf and muttering "Orc blood" *squick*

Oh hello, it was a fake out.

Oook no more caffiene for me.
