Any night I need to go to bed early because I have an early morning, I'm struck with the most noxious insomnia ever. Fie.

I'm even tired. I just can't sleep.

I did go out and buy 13 Going on 30 and it is as cute as I remembered. Just had to turn off the reality checks. Much easier for me to suspend my disbelief for this type of movie than for, say, Collateral.

I think I'm officially in love with Mark Ruffalo. Was reading an interview with him in EW and it just cemented my adoration for him. He's seriously all kinds of cool. I think I need to re-rent You Can Count On Me. I love Laura Linney, too. I remember that movie being utterly depressing, in a 'I'm glad I saw it but never, ever need to see it again" type of way, but regardless, wish to see it again now.

Then Judy called. She and John had just returned from their Alaskan cruise and were trying to get together with a group to say farewell to Andrey and Sean who are moving back to Indianapolis. They are going to be missed. Especially Andrey who is the cutest thing on feet. I was feeling somewhat anti-social this afternoon, but hauled my ass out because I wanted to see him again.

It was good to get out. We met up at Maggie Bluffs for an early dinner. Nothing like getting smooched by a hot man to make your day a little brighter.

Then back to my place for more straightening up.

I'm really excited about Amy's visit. It'll be nice to have her here. This has been a great summer for visitors. Amy's like a little sister. So there's that whole comfort thing of having a visitor who's totally low maintenance. And it's been a long time since we've been able to have this kind of quality time together. So big time yay.

I managed to royally fuck up, though. Judy had bought some tickets for Zoo Tunes -- Pink Martini. Like a complete moron, I forgot to note it in my datebook. Thus, when Amy asked if this week was good, I chirped that it was just fine. Of course tickets have been sold out for months now. Trying desperately to get one off of craigslist. Someone in [livejournal.com profile] seattle suggested getting to the zoo early and seeing if someone will sell me one. If we can't get one, it's not the end of the world. I just hate squandering a ticket and was really looking forward to it. But obviously not enough to remember when the fuck it was. Bleh.

I'd also just agreed to go to a screening of Vanity Fair at Pacific Place. Same day. So had to quickly email the bookclub woman to say I may or may not be able to make it now. Depending on Zoo Tunes tickets.

Why does everything have to happen on the same day? It's a freaking Wednesday. I don't understand.

Ok. Must try to go to sleep.
