I hate being sick. I've been fighting a cold for the past week and I'm officially tired of it. Tired of the sore throat. Tired of the headaches. Tired of chewy phlegm.

On the positive side, I have nothing of importance to do today. Besides clean my flat and visit the ever-wonderful cougar-cat, Brutus. Jeff's out of town and his amazing kitty had gotten sick and required boarding for a variety of reasons. I went to visit him at the vet's yesterday and he was full of indignation and bellowing meows. He ran around the room, tolerated me picking him up and cuddling him and scratching his ears. I gave a relieved Jeff the full report yesterday.

It's so awful to see your normally frisky, bad-ass cat looking listless and miserable. I can't wait for Jeff to be reunited with Brutus on Monday.

I would also like to say that SNES Zelda: A Link to the Past is awesome. But the Dark World 7th Crystal Palace is teh suck. There's this one part where you have to navigate a platform in the dark to a button that you have to place a block on to open a door in another area that you have to then navigate to that is just the biggest bitch EVER. Much hair pulling and then I keep dying at the Boss because I run out of magic and don't have reserves. So when I stop being mad at it, I need to go get some magic potion and come back, renavigate the stupid dark area and omfg it's making me so mad just thinking about it.

I have one more netflix'd Alias disc (it's official, I'm hooked) and then I'm going to settle in to watch the entire first season dvds of Without a Trace that Sarah bought me for my birthday. This is very exciting. Also, I have Thanksgiving leftovers. Including pie.

Saw The Incredibles for the fourth time last night with Sarah (her third time). This movie needs to be on dvd rightthissecond so I can watch it without bankrupting myself at nearly $10 a pop.

Note to self: It is November. You live in Seattle. Leaving the house without a jacket = stupid. God it was motherfucking cold yesterday. Had to trot down Market Street after the movie in the drizzle. And was freezing. Brilliant with my cold, non?

More about The Incredibles, though.

Um. Spoilers, just in case. )

Also! LotR:RotK:EE out in like almost two weeks! I think New Year's Eve will be spent doing a big LotR marathon avec booze and food. Maybe we can Shanghai Ellen and Jeff's house with the ENORMOUS, glorious television set.

Also, apparently (and I don't know if this deal is still available--it's what Jeff and Ellie got), I'm going to set aside money and buy the Lifetime Tivo thing which is $300 but is a LIFETIME of service plus the unit! But I have to wait until I have a permanent job, not just a seasonal one.
