yesterday

So yesterday was a rare 14-hour day. Desperately trying to project-manage both work and my personal life and really just want to crawl under my desk in a fetal position.

I need to get both conference proceedings to the printers on Monday. My taxi picks me up for the airport at 3pm on Friday. I have a meeting with legal about an hour before I leave, so will do all the final edits on the plane. Gah.

I did, however, organize the mountain of paper strewn across my office and get both conference sets largely organized with notes on what's missing. I'm really glad I didn't do this last week, because the one fucking day I was gone (attending the STC conference), they threw out an entire track. Which I spent a lot of time working on, but I would have lost my mind completely if I had to redo the proceedings.

I need to rush off on a amy-related-errand after work (hopefully the last one before the shower on Saturday) and then must must must go buy the latest SiP (the final issue of the Molly & Poo trilogy *squee!*). Although! Now that I'm leaving the house so late, the comic book store will be open on my way too work. Ooo. OOOOO.

My reward for surviving this week is going to be the best hole-in-the-wall Mexican food known to man, which I'm having on Friday night with Amy when we finally get to catch up in FOREVER. That and I get to meet my doggie-niece, Murphy, too! There's also the 12K on Sunday, but I'm pretending that's happening to people who are not me. Lalala!

I can't be sitting here typing. I have to get back to editing this draft and get to work. Also, coffee.
