So. Tired. But. Triumphant.

The trim on the west wall of the living room is done. Taping, a coat of primer, two coats of paint, and de-taping. It's not perfect. I need to touch up the edges in a few places and there's paint where there shouldn't be on some parts of the sliding glass door metal framework. But, it looks pretty good! It was even kind of fun. I mean, I wish the rest of it was all done, too, but it's not a bad start! I also completely unpacked the rest of the kitchen. Three huge boxes and one small one. Everything is put away and even the dishwasher's loaded with the few dirty things left. I've a load of laundry folded and a load drying now. I got outlet plates screwed onto the west living room wall and all along the hallway. I love the white trim and brushed silver plates. It's so pretty. I did realize that I got the wrong plates from Restoration Hardware. Two are polished nickel, not brushed so they have to go back, and one of them is the wrong type of outlet and wrong metal, and I forgot to buy the two cable plates. So that's another trip out there. Maybe I can swing by at lunch one of these days, I'd really like to get those out of the way.

My reward for unpacking the kitchen was that I finally let myself open the Kitchen-Aid mixer. It's so beautiful... And now it's unpacked and sitting on my kitchen counter, beckoning me to play.

But I am about to pass out here. Tomorrow's a full work day and I should probably be conscious for it.

I also can't figure out where to put my linens. I have a giant hall closet, half of which I'm using as a coat closet and the other half as a place for tools, paint, equipment. I could store it in one of three places:

- hall closet, and move tools, paints, etc to cabinetry above laundry in hall bathroom
- hall bathroom cabinetry
- master bathroom cabinetry (which is bizarrely capacious)

Hrm, now that I think about it, the hall bathroom closet is perfect for this stuff. What else would I keep in there? Whew, one decision down, 200000000 to go. That means I can unpack the box of linens now that I know where I'm going to put them! Maybe tomorrow I can put up the curtains; I was relieved to get home and measure the length and find that my guess was correct and the 84'' panels will work just fine.

Okay, sleep now.
