Um. I think I have a crush on Patrick Dempsey. How the hell did that happen? I mean, one minute we had Can't Buy Me Love. And now all of a sudden he's kinda hot. And I'd like to jump him. Even though I'm very sore and tired.

Huh. God, he's cute. He can be my next imaginary boyfriend. Though I thought that was going to be Tim Daly.

It's Stacey's fault. She keeps having me TiVo these new shows. And I never watch new shows. I'm always suspicious and elitist about them until second season when it turns out they're not canceled and/or they're not crap. You think I'd have learned back in college when I said Buffy was a dumb show based on a dumber movie, Friends was just another stupid 20-something show that wasn't going to last, and The West Wing was boring. Yeah, come to me for your hot season-predictions. Also, I intitially thought Lost looked lame. Good thing I'm on the All-You-Can-Eat-Crow diet. Also, I don't particularly mind being wrong. Which is good, because I'm wrong an awful lot.

So per Stace's instructions, I'm watching both Eyes and Grey's Anatomy. I don't know if they're going to last or if they're going to suck eggs. But they comprise a world where very good looking men are charming and single and not exclusively dating other charming good looking men. So, I'm a fan.

I finally have rented Bridget Jones's Diary II. I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it. The sequel was fairly weak as a book, but from the moment they panned across their matching snowmen jumpers, I knew it was going to be bad. But I'm going to look at Colin Firth shirtless and try to ignore Renee Zellwegger's beady eyes. (Dawn--you're right. Mean, beady eyes. She looks evil to me now and I once quite liked her. This is all your fault!)

I hate how they've changed the book already. It worked much better having Rebecca as the jellyfish-friend rather than someone working with Mark Darcy. Whatever. She's such a spaz. And I mean, I know from spaz. Spaz is good. But I can't understand why he likes her. She seems dumber in this sequel than in the first movie. And it's only the first few minutes.

I hate sequels in general. And this really isn't going to be different. Why am I watching it? See above re: shirtless Colin Firth.
