I was describing a scene from West Wing
Me: So CJ--played by Allison Jan...oh never mind, you never know people's names
Jeff: *eyeroll*
Me: Anyhow, she's tall and beautiful and is the press...um. Shit. What was Ari..um..Ari..Flei..
Jeff: Fleischer?
Me: YES! His job!
Jeff: Press secretary
Me: Yes! That! Anyhow, that's her job. And someone spilled something on her and she changed into a robe and then Sam, played by Rob Lowe. Wait, is he big enough for you to know?
Jeff: Watch it... *warning tone*
Me: *smirk* He says...
Jeff: Of course, I was surprised you knew who Ari Fleischer was...
Me: *indignant look* Unh!
Jeff: Sarah must have included him in one of her news-update 'summaries' for you.
Me: Ooooo! *pause* Dammit. Fair enough. But I know things! Granted, usually things Sarah fills me in on, but I'm informed!
Jeff: Uh huh.
Me: *dramatic exit, stage left*
(NNN and Jon Stewart now keep me much better informed that I once was, but I still need Sarah to explain anything that takes more than a four-second attention span to understand.)
