Last night I went to bed at 3:30am. I woke up for a bit at 4:30 and 5:30am. I eventually had to get out of bed at 8 to get ready for work. I was prepared to face a bleary-eyed day, dragging my feet and quite possibly passing out at my desk.

But you know when you're so tired you're not tired any more? Yeah. That's what happened to me. I passed exhausted right into punchy.

Jeff (I feel like I'm outlining Goofus and Gallant) went to bed early and got a full 8-9 hours worth of sleep.

I've been all kinds of perky all day and Jeff has endured. Finally, I popped into his office for a late afternoon visit.

Jeff: I hate you. *withering look*
Me: Cool! Many people do, you know! Why? *chirp*
Jeff: You've somehow switched us. You've stolen my full night's sleep and given me your hellish night. There's no other explanation for why I'm so damn tired.
Me: I totally did! Muhahahaha!
Jeff: It's not faaaaaaaaaaaair!
Me: I know. I'm evil. This is why I am hated by most. Yay! *bounce*

This went on for awhile. Poor Jeff. I get really wound up when I'm tired.

Jeff: God. Why do you have so much energy?? With that little sleep, I would need to just pass out.
Me: I'm ready to go to an 80's club and WangChungTonight.
Jeff: Omg you just said that. *facepalm*
Me: I know! I'm such a dork! Yay!!

He eventually had to go get coffee and cast my diet pepsi can a dark look and suggested I lay off the caffeine. I didn't tell him it was my first can of the day. I don't know what that would have done to him.

*runs around* And now! I get to edit! Which is my favoritest task!

Goofus & Gallant

WOW. The trivia question yesterday at my favorite coffee shop was this: "Which children's magazine featured the comic Goofs and Gallant?" And I was like, "I KNOW THAT! Highlights magazine!" (If I'm wrong, I'll feel like a major poop...) I didn't try to answer it and get 5 cents off my order because I feel like a nerd if I answer too many of them.

Okay, that was off topic. :)

You're right. It was Highlights. When I was a kid I thought the tag line was "Fun with a Porpoise!" and I was so confused because there were never any dolphin-like creatures in the issue. Duh.

I loved the Goofus and Gallant parts :)

I don't think I knew what a porpoise was back at that age - you must have been a smarty. :) I remember submitting drawings to the magazine but I don't think I ever got one published. Fuckers... always putting in crappy drawings by 4 year olds that are incomprehensible. But I'm not bitter...
