verbicideIf I had to pick one, and only one, person to spend the rest of my days with, it'd be my cousin Z. He is the coolest thing ever. Seriously. He's what kept me sane for the duration of my Exile to LA. And we have a very Lorelai-Rory type of relationship ala The Gilmore Girls, which he's been cheerfully watching with me. If I ever had a kid, I'd want him or her to be exactly like Z.
First words out of his mouth on the drive home from the airport? "Hey, do you have the Incredibles? Can we watch that?" And then he stayed up half the night watching LotR again. Waiting outside Brad's Swingside cafe yesterday we argued if the pink-spongy Orc was supposed to be a Balrog or not (from the books), which I have no current memory of.
I can also haul him to things like The Upside of Anger (which I loved, even though it had flaws) and he actively enjoyed it. He's smart, and quick, and laid back. Omg he's the best.
We're off to a Mariner's game now and then to Elliot Bay Bookstores because he loves books as much as I do.
He is, absolutely 100%, my very own kitten. Pounce!
