Friday night, post work, met up with Judy & Co. to see Margaret Cho. Who was fucking hysterical. It'd been a long day, since I was sleep-deprived, so I went home to bed instead of the ever-exciting Matador.
Woke up late Saturday, did some French and went off for my lesson. The last one for three-weeks since my instructor is jetting off to France. It's going to be hard to find the discipline to sit down and make myself have lessons in her absence, but I'm going to do it, dammit. I don't want my newly rediscovered skills lapsing again.
Sarah came over afterwards and we hung out at my place for a bit before I left for Everett where my friends Rob and Kelly live. I was looking forward to seeing them and their new home. It was a great night. I got to play with their dog and cat, and we caught up. Talked politics, religion, and the decline of American society. Discovered these spectacular coolers called Brutal Fruit. It was lychee flavored and omfg I must go find more now. Dinner and then we watched Waiting for Guffman, which they love and I hadn't seen. It was freaking hilarious. I love Christopher Guest. The man is a bloody genius.
Got home late and was wiped out. Dove into bed and I'm not sure why I woke up at 7am except that possibly god hates me. Weirdly achy since Friday and I think I'm going to crawl back into bed.
My cousins did get the scarf/hat I mailed them and there was a very cute message on my answering machine where cousin A declared he looked fantastic in everything. Cousin H was more demure and grateful. It was cute. Makes me glad I didn't selfishly keep the hat for myself as I reallyreallyreally wanted to do.
I suppose I should make my brothers something. Hrm. Okay, back to bed.
