Speaking of temper:

So tonight just utterly sucked. Head still throbbing, I was already running late for class, when every single person in the known universe decided to hop in their car and block my way. Yes, for the sole purpose of pissing me off.

Traffic was fucking surreal. I still somehow managed to get to campus by 5:45 when I, stupidly, failed to pay attention and got into the right lane to avoid the staggering line of non-moving cars. Fuck. Of course, that was my turn. The sort of dumb ass move you make when you're already in a fury and will thus have no one to blame but yourself, blackening an already dark mood.

UW is remarkably unforgiving of mistakes. No place to make a left or U-turn for miles. Heaps of busses and slow moving cars. Drove for fucking miles before I was able to make a turn, then more fucking miles for another turn into the campus.

Ran to class and made it with 3 minutes to spare. So that was ok. Still, just wanted to beat the shit out of someone at that point. Decided it could be whoever designed the tiny classroom desks that give you plenty of surface area to hold a pencil and a stick of gum. Trying to balance the Technical Editing textbook (which mercifully did get here before class) and the hardback Chicago Manual of Style and a notebook was not fun.

Class was not as awful as last time, but the woman is just too fumbling and BORING. There are these long weird pauses where she tries to figure out what to say next. Long pauses as she stares at people after they finish making their comment (I think she's trying to be polite and wait and see if they're going to continue or something, but they're NOT). It makes the class move like it was encased in jello and it's MADDENING!!

Argh. Argh. Argh.
