I love this meme. I've had an LJ account for about 3 years now, I think, and it's always fun to have this record.


Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make some for next year?
I really don't make them.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

Did anyone close to you die?
Happily, nope.

Which countries did you visit?
I can't wait to answer this question next year!

What date from 2005 will remain etched in your memory?
January 10th. My first day on the job here.

What was your biggest achievement of 2005?
Becoming a homeowner!

What was your biggest failure?
Not sticking as diligently to my diet as I would have liked.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
A bizarre number of cuts/scrapes, but nothing serious.

What was the best thing you bought?
My condo!

Whose behavior merited celebration?
Jeanne, who completed her first marathon!

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The president. Same answer three years in the running.

Where did all your money go?
To my savings account. And to presents!

What did you get really excited about?
Buying furniture! Real, grown-up furniture!

What song will always remind you of 2005?
Green Day - Whatshername.

Hate is such a strong and ugly word...

The Decemberists.

An iPod. *pets*

What did you want and not get?
I didn't really get to properly celebrate the holiday season because of the timing of my move.

What was your favorite film this year?
I don't think it was the best movie I've seen, but my favorite movie experience was Harry Potter 4at the IMAX. As for best film--I loved, loved, loved Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

What was your favorite book this year?
I would have to say Y: The Last Man and Fables are tied for first place.

What did you do on your last birthday and how old were you?
Dinner at Jak's with Judy! And 34.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept of 2005?
Track pants.

What kept you sane?
You mean what failed to keep me sane...

Which celebrity do you fancy the most?
Enrique Murciano (Danny Taylor on Without a Trace)

Who do you miss?
My nephews.

Who was the best person you met?
I'm going to say Jeanne. Because I feel like this is the year I've really gotten to know her as my own friend, and not just as a friend of Judy's that I like.

Tell us the most valuable lesson you have learned in 2005?
To speak up instead of imploding.
