I have wanted the Pottery Barn Rustic Mirror with Hooks for about 5000 years. Now that I have a home and a place to hang it, it is no longer available. I think the last one was sold just as I picked up the phone to order it. I am very sad about this. I've looked on Craig's List and Ebay, and have actually posted want-ads for it on those sites as well as [livejournal.com profile] seattlebuysell. There are a zillion black mirrors with hooks, but I want this one because I love the photo frames on either side of the mirror.

If anyone happens to know of one for sale anywhere, please please let me know!

This is what it looks like, I don't care if it's from Pottery Barn, I just want the damn photo frames.

That IS a nice mirror. I keep planning out my dream entryway/hallway/mudroom where I can have a nice place to hang coats, take off shoes, etc. The house we're in now is a Cape Cod style so there's no hallway, you walk in the door and you're in our living room basically. You'd think ebay would save you on this one. That sucks.

How much for just the bundle of sticks?

It would be so nice to have the chance to design the house of one's dreams from the ground up, eh?

And I can't believe ebay has failed me. So sad.

Well, I'm quite covered on bundles of sticks, so I'd have to pass on that! :D

Did you call a local PB store? They might still have them (assuming it's not a net exclusive).

I tried looking for one like it... lots of mirrors with shelves and hooks, none with photo frames :(

It is a nice looking mirror. Kind of makes me wish I had a hallway for it. Or even a foyer.

I tried calling an outlet, and she checked all the outlets in the country. But I haven't tried a shop-shop. I could do that maybe, too, just on the insane off-chance. I'm going to be at Pacific Place tomorrow, and I think I'll pop in there.

Thanks for looking for me :)

Does your front door just open into a main room?

Yep. It's a big box.

Okay, you are AMAZING!! How on earth did you find that? I've been trawling through ebay for days!

What's funny is--I saw your email first thing this morning because Judy called me at 7:30AM because she'd found it, too. She said she'd email me the link, but as I immediately looked at my inbox--your email was there before she could send the link.

You are awesome! Thank you so much!! And praise the lord, it has a Buy-it-Now option, too! I just bought it!

I was so excited, I almost bought it for you for fear someone else would buy it first, but then I thought how awkward and weird that would be if you DIDN'T want it and then HAD to take it because I'd bought it for you... imagine the secret resentment every time you looked at it!

I still haven't gone to bed, so forgive my idiocy :)

You are too awesome--that is so incredibly sweet!!!!

And I could never resent such a generous thing. :) Some of the fine details are different than PBs, but fuck it, it's so cheap, I'll buy it for now and if it isn't as antique-y looking as I like, or whatever, I can always buy the PB one if it comes up. But this will make me SO DAMN HAPPY for now! :D

And hee, omg you stayed up all night, you crazy thing!

But you *have* the perfect spot for such a mirror, *if* you moved the stacks of comics presently to the right of the coat hanger/shoe rack. Priorities, eh? :)

(I on the other hand, have no alternative but to resort to BEHIND the door for my hook rack, in my tiny step-in-and-hit-the-stairs-immediately space!)

Heh, they apparently have more than one, so if you don't mind, I'll buy it too!

Well, I have been considering replacing the hat/coat stand with a rack hanging along the wall -- of course this would mean building the Wall of Shelves, and probably redoing the ugly fake wood panelling behind there.

And also, the spot you describe would also be behind the door.

Sounds like a good spring/summer weekend project (well, several weekends obviously, although I would caution you for taking one and only one Section of the Wall of Shelves at a time - in fact, that might not be a bad section to start out with?!)

And I'm thinking of the wall behind the door AND the space right next to it (that wall is slightly wider than the width of the door, isn't it?)

Are you advising for or against trying to do it all at once? I was planning on doing the whole thing more or less at once.

And the section with the comics is behind the door when it's open -- but I could replace the hatstand. (And mean to at some point.)
