more shopping, yes, oh yes

verbicideSince all I do these days is spend money, I decided to sneak in Buffy: The Chosen Collection in with things like paint and towels. Pretty soon here I'm going to install a spending moratorium, and save up for things for awhile before buying, but I figured I could get that in under the wire while I was being so damn devil-may-care with my finances.
I had it shipped directly to Stace in San Diego (thus avoiding sales tax, muhahahaha) as she's just starting to watch the series for the first time now. This way she doesn't have to get it in dribbles from Netflix and it's not like I was going to be able to sit and watch it properly for awhile anyway.
And this way, I'll probably watch it once I have the Plasma Tv of Joy. Which I'm so excited about, but intimated by. I hate researching for stuff like that (normally I make Sarah do it and explain it to me in small words). All the various models and reviews and reading CNET and gah. I know, my life is so hard. But it's such a big purchase, I want to make sure it's good, and not overpriced, and a reliable brand, and yes I'm going to get the extended warranty, and I don't want to buy it and find out there's this other model, much cheaper, with better picture. I also don't want to buy the top model with all kinds of bells and whistles and shit that I'm not going to care about and a tv with the best resolution known to man--but where I can't really tell the difference between it and the model that is $1000 cheaper.
I should really move on that, too. Because I know my dad would be so happy to see it here, when he gets here in two weeks.
