Busy weekend, though I did get to sleep in today, despite Hobbsie's attempt to thwart that.

I got up reasonably early, puttered around the house, watched Amelie and rejoiced in how much of the French I could understand, though I was annoyed that French subtitles weren't available. By mid-morning I was so comfortable on the couch, watching Amelie, that I really didn't want to leave for the reunion thing. But I'd spent the week hissing at Jeff that he had to go, no matter how much work he needed to do around the house. Don't get me wrong, both of us really wanted to go, but weekend time is just so limited. Anyhow. I knew I couldn't use, "But I was having too much fun sitting on my ass" as an excuse, so I made my way out to Elliot Bay. I love that place, and the parking gods were with me, and I found a spot instantly out front. Melissa and Jeff were already there, as was Betty. And shortly after I sat down, others arrived. It was particularly nice to see Torsten and Paula, both of whom I hadn't seen since our class. And it's always nice to see Sue. It was really a nice time, and I'm glad Melissa's organized these meet-ups.

Afterwards, I dropped Jeff off in Capitol Hill, and left to meet Jeanne. It was a great day of shopping, knitting, movies, and food. We first went to CostCo because I needed a shredder since I get approximately 9,000,000 pieces of crap mail a day. Next we drove to Pacific Place and had a very early dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We headed back to Pacific Place and did a lot of window shopping and eventually picked up our tickets for... um. Eight Below. I know it's a very predictable Disney flick and cheesy, but, but... PUPPIES! They were so damn cute in the previews that Jeanne and I couldn't resist. Nothing unexpected, and the parts with people were endurable, but the PUPPIES! So cute!! I immediately started to fantasize about getting a Husky, though I know I can't have one. But omg... PUPPIES!!

Our final destination was the grocery store to pick up ingredients for our offerings to the SuperBowl party. I should make it tonight, but I just don't wanna. I think after our fun at Habitude tomorrow, I'm just going to come straight home and make it (carrot cake cheesecake). It just needs to be refrigerated 3 hours before serving. Our hour-long appointments are at 9AM. Even if I don't make it home until noon I'll have plenty of time. KC and Jen's party doesn't start until 2 and it's dessert, it can sit in their fridge for a few hours, too!

And now, collapsing into bed sounds glorious. Too tired to function.
