So most of the re-install is going fine, but for some reason my Microsoft Office 2000 disc wasn't working. I was utterly confused as I've used it about ten billion times before.

So I took the error number, went to Microsoft's Support pages. Entered the number, the software package. And... it um. It actually gave me a response that was applicable...and it's now installed.

I ... I don't understand.

What twisted parallel universe have I fallen into?
