verbicideGod I love Friday nights. The promise of an entire weekend ahead, so many tasks that could possibly be accomplished, even if only a tenth of them actually will!
Tonight I'm going on a pub crawl with my very nice neighbors. It'll be cool to check out some of the local spots with them, and just get to know them better. I particularly want to know if my late-night tv viewing is driving crazy the nice lesbian couple whose bedroom is behind my living room.
As fun as I expect it to be, I really hope it's a relatively early night. Friday nights are no longer for partying. All I want to do is sit on my couch with lotion for my feet and the remote control. So, hopefully I will be home soon.
Tomorrow is fairly mellow. I am throwing a little Stitch 'n Bitch dinner for Jeanne. In exciting news, my place is already pretty clean, so outside of laundry and a few dishes, I can shop for some groceries in the morning and leisurely pace out my day. I'm going to make bruchetta, green salad, a variation of this pasta, rosemary french bread, and chocolate lava cakes. My sister-in-law, who is an exceptional cook, once said that the secret to entertaining is having a few tried-and-true recipes that are fairly foolproof and reasonably easy.
Saturday night is also going to involve some sewing fun. I want to start Jeanne's quillow so I can give it to her before she leaves.
Sunday will be all about Sarah. We're going to try a new place for breakfast and then tuck away into a coffee shop with some books. I plan on taking my French books, which I've thoroughly ignored for two weeks past.
I would like, somewhere in there, to re-install the motherfucking blinds. So it's not going to be all hugs and puppies.
The rain, she's a coming down. So maybe a skirt and tights isn't the best outfit for tonight. Blah. I hate walking outside on days like this.
