organizing thoughts and deeds

verbicideSo today is the first real day off. So exciting! So tempting to sit at home cooing at Hobbsie, but the holidays won't permit that.
I wish I weren't physically incapable of getting holiday cards out on time. Since I hate the ones I have, I need to suck it up and go back to Papyrus. And then I debate about just making them again, too. NO! Not enough time!!
I have so much to do today and I want to properly organize it to maximize my efficiency!
There are stay at home things, and things with other people, and things to do around town.
First, I need to call Judy and find out if and when we're having lunch. That's a rate-limiting step. When I leave to meet Judy, I should make the bank deposit, mail the letter, pick up prescriptions, pick up cat food, and take pants in for hemming.
Then, after lunch, when I have more energy and motivation, I should call Aetna and put away laundry, and deal with dishes.
I don't think the Dere Auto thing will work today. But that's okay, I can put that off until tomorrow.
I'd like to go to OB and Em's and pick up Sam to take her on a nice long walk around Greenlake (she'll be excited for the one-on-one time sans her greatest competition: The Baby!). I need to time it so I'm back at Em's by 4:30 so we can jaunt over to Baby's R Us for some family gifts.
Pete is going to maybe come over tonight. I have the vague idea that I'd like to make a puttanesca with whole wheat pasta, but we'll see if that transpires. Add running to Safeway after Baby's R Us.
Not every day is going to be this busy. I really want to give myself some total slacker days. But I think alternating slackerdom with high productivity is what's going to work best for me and help me hang on to this month. When I do nothing, free time just vanishes!
