Whoop! The pies are in the oven. Got lazy and just bought the pecan one and it's thawing, but pumpkin pies are in the oven and will also bake peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate chip pecan cookies. Gary, Judy and Ellie's little brother, will be there, and he can eat like an ox. It was so weird seeing him last year for the first time after... decades. He was this tiny little sweet kid. Now he's a GIANT. He's like 900 feet tall with a wingspan of about 40 feet. It's impressive. He looks like a linebacker or something. Anyhow, I want there to be enough dessert to go around. Must remember to go turn down heat in 15 minutes.
Doing a massive re-read of SIP and loving it, as always. It's amazing how much stuff you still notice on the fourth, fifth or even tenth re-read.
Spoilers for SIP lie ahead. This stuff is from volume 3, issues 1-12.
So a few new comments. Sarah, maybe this is something that is very DUH for you. Or rather, maybe this is Terry Moore's early alert to us that Veronica is bugfuck crazy. But the way she left Chuck was so damn stupid. Hi, I'm violently dumping you on your ass, shortly after you discover my gun, and will next be appearing on NATIONAL TELEVISION with a senator. I thought Parker Girls were supposed to be better trained as D.U.C.K.S than that. I mean, she really lacked finesse at the end, and it was so self indulgent and unnecessary, it struck me as a bit out of character for a true Parker Girl.
Also, if Veronica was in this huge D.U.C.K. game with a freaking senator, trying to move him into position for presidency, then why pull Veronica out? There are tons of Parker girls. Surely one was on a less important mission or lying by the Parker Mansion Pool somewhere? Chuck was a pretty low-level operation. Date him, move in and watch Francie. Seems like something anyone could do.

Second, the lily tattoo. So you're a crime boss, whose operatives are women, fucking and killing their way to power, would you really want an identifying mark on their breast? Isn't that a little....arrogant? Darcy has two, and it clearly links her to all her girls. But again, Darcy was pretty bugfuck herself and maybe that is just the point. She flaunted herself because she foolishly thought she'd never get busted. It was another way of rubbing their noses in it. Hrm.
Now I want the sourcebook because I want to see if it was Bambi when I thought it was Tambi. Which, wtf was wrong with Ma and Pa Baker that they named them thus.
SO MAD THAT ISSUE 61 DIDNT COME OUT YESTERDAY AS PROMISED!!!!

Also, nothing she did wrt Katchoo makes sense, because Darcy essentially lost her ability to reason when Katchoo left, and became obsessed.
And Ma and Pa Baker didn't name them Bambi and Tambi - those are names Darcy gave them. Ahhh.. sourcebook! You should read. None of it but the David and Veronica parts are spoiler-ish.
I want more SiP. Now. *obsess*
