Five things that are now true that I once thought I'd never say or believe.

1. Going to bed at 9PM is awesome! (I was a former Night Owl.)
2. Men with facial hair = sexy. (I once swore I would never find a guy with facial hair even remotely attractive.)
3. Kalamata olives are yummy. (To Jeff's great loss, actually, since I fed him all mine.)
4. The bus is so much better than driving my car. (Because OMFG 520 = SUXX0R.)
5. Getting one's legs waxed is totally worth the pain. (I used to marvel at Amy's efforts back in college.)

It's been a busy, but good weekend. It's too damn cold and winter needs to say byebye NOW!

Friday night, per usual, I was utterly useless and came home to vege out with Henry.

Saturday, I slept in gloriously late. I got up, puttered around, and then took a half-day long nap. My only accomplishment was making naan and raita for Amy T's party for her awesome husband Mike's birthday. The party was lovely, full of nice people. My schedule was wack for the weekend. And so in order to see the magnificent Jeff, we squeezed in time late Saturday night. He was waiting for me when I got home from Amy's party, sacked out on the couch with the baking book Amy'd given me. We caught up, watched The Soup, and took turns pouncing Henry until about 1.

Today, I got up early to meet Ellie for brunch at this great Greek place in Maple Leaf called Divine. It was. Then, I came home and sacked out with Henry and my current re-read of Order of Phoenix. I also had a French lesson (by way of an hour's conversation) with my old French instructor. She's so nice. She said that in spite of my not speaking French for months, I made very few mistakes and managed to keep up my end of the conversation for an hour. I honestly think I was dreadful, but she's very generous with the praise.

Then, more slothing about with Henry. I wanted to make something for tonight, but I just couldn't pull it together. So Henry and I snogged in front of the tv until it was time to head over to Judy/John/Milo's for dinner. They'd made some lovely soup and salad and chicken and we ate and caught up on everything. Mostly attention was directed to the absurdly adorable Milo. I bought a pie from a local bakery --a cherry one, but it wasn't very good. So, crossing them off my list for last minute dessert contributions.

And now, best part of the day, time for bed!

Hope everyone had a decent weekend!
