verbicideI've decided to start an EPIC REWATCH of The Office.
Season one is sadly at Jeff's house,which is all the more tragic because it's going to take him seven hundred years to watch it. (Not that I blame him at all, actually. He's in the middle of another series currently and doesn't know that this is the one he should be obsessed with.)
But that's okay! I'm going to start with seaon two and everything will be under a thingy. But for serious, it's all I think about and all I want to do. So here goes. It's certainly not the first time I've waxed obsessive here! No real content. Just excessive, unrepentant squeeage.
Oh Michael. It's just so tragic that so many of his brilliant ideas originate with the hopes of making people happy and making people love him. Just tragic.
I feel like I should catalog all the things about Jim and Pam that are beyond awesome. Maybe each one of these squeefests can have a section for this purpose. Because as much as I love all of the characters, nothing yanks at my heart like Jim and Pam angsting for each other.
Jim: getting Michael to not give Pam a Dundie for Longest Engagement
Pam: the anxious to DELIGHTED transition on her face when she realizes it's not the Longest Engagement Dundie
Pam: for cheering Kevin's Smelliest Poop Dundie and for being so freaking adorable in her acceptance speech
Jim: for the look of pure undiluted helpless adoration on his face during Pam's acceptance and then the FIRST SMOOCH
Jim: What a GREAT year for the Dundies!!
Pam: *flail off barstool*
I can't believe Chilis let him bring a karaoke thingy without making them rent the whole place.
Also, I think Steve Carell is freaking brilliant. His constant slightly-anxious side-long glances at the camera are so dead-on.
I also love how retarded Michael can be, but people--as annoyed as they are--also don't like seeing Michael crushed. Like Pam's genuine apologetic look at Michael when Roy tries to caveman her out of there. And good for Pam. If I were dating Roy, I would need to drink a lot, too.
Michael's unabashed boy-crush on Ryan is freaking hilarious. JUST KISS ALREADY. OMG he slaps him on the ass.

I also like the more vapid future Kelly vs dowdy Kelly. Mindy Kaling is so funny as the season develops.
