1. Five reasons it's still not cool to admit you're a gamer.

2. There's a roundtable discussion with some very awesome actors: Jon Hamm (AMC's "Mad Men"), Bryan Cranston (AMC's "Breaking Bad"), Alexander Skarsgard (HBO's "True Blood"), Ray Romano (TNT's "Men of a Certain Age"), Matt Bomer (USA's "White Collar"), and Matthew Fox (ABC's "Lost").

1) That dude plays totally different games than I do. Except Bioshock, which was really outside of my normal repertoire.

Admitting I am a video gamer: not a problem. It's basically a mainstream hobby these days.

Admitting I am a table-top role-play gamer: no way in hell.

I agree--those games are not my games. My games are Final Fantasy and Mario games with occasional variations like Psychonauts or Zelda.

I think it's awesome that you're a table-top role-play gamer, for what it's worth. I think the only time I ever did that was with Hawk and BF; we played Super Munchkin, and if I were more social/less shy, I think I would totally be into that sort of thing!

Oh, it is definitely fun, which is why I keep doing it.

But, the Nerd Stigma attached to D&D is so much higher than that attached to video gaming, the latter is trivial.

Heh, meanwhile I proudly declare my table-top love - I wonder why?
