Mean Girls ruled. It was just what the doctor ordered. We laughed our asses off. Don't know what it is about high school girls that involves such distilled evil. God, Judy and I both realized that we would never survive life in high school today. We thought we had it bad. I feel so bad for today's teen. Damn. Half the girls looked like they were in their twenties. That's it. Can not possibly breed and bring a life form into the world that would have to survive under such hideous conditions. Also? Lindsay Lohan is freaking adorable. Am mildly squicked out by lust for the underage hottie. Damn, he was cute. I really vowed I wouldn't go younger than Tobey Maguire. And only because he's special.

Anyway. It was great to catch up with Judy, whose disturbing comment du jour was: "I find it cute that you think you're more shallow than you are." Hrmph.

Wonderful [livejournal.com profile] brabble text-messaged me on my drive home to inform me that yes, SiP 65 is OUT. Wooooo! A short detour and it was in my greedy paws.

[livejournal.com profile] devinluvsrussia don't worry--I'll bring it for you tomorrow!

Cute. Very cute. I like the cover a lot, though eye-jewelry is so utterly disturbing that I refuse to really acknowledge its existence. Who is the unnamed woman in the giant portrait? No, not the Francine one from the last issue. Why does Katchoo know Molly (and thus have a painting of her)? And why does she have a young-age Griffin portrait, too? Bizarre.

Ah Freddie, aka The Shark. He cracks me the fuck up. Though watching him make yet another psychotic scene doesn't do much to suspend my disbelief that he could actually reach a position of political clout, such as ADA.

It was wonderful to see Katchoo BLOW up at the end. So not like her to be accommodating and quiet. Was driving me slightly crazy. I have to say I was very proud of her for offering Freddie an olive branch.

Overall a cute issue. But I'd like to see what's going on with Francie now. K? Thanks.

Now to wait another 6 weeks. Mowr.

Got home, devoured SiP and frogmarched self off, most unwillingly, to work out. It wasn't an inspiring effort, but at least I did it--am back on the Track of Good.

Tis cute! You'll like it. And then, like me, you can settle down to wait impatiently for ANOTHER 6 weeks.

I totally dug it. "I just blew a year of therapy, but it was so worth it! That felt great!"

Good on her for telling that poncey art critic off. I hate that kind of pretension. I realize reviewers get paid so little that we have to make up for it somehow (the only thing that pays worse than music writing is poetry), but surely we can do better than that.

Of course, art critics don't even get free CDs.
