Best part of class last night was the fact that it ended early and
jeff_nw and I scampered off to the nearest Starbucks for cool beverages and discussion.
It's nice because he can personally relate to this weird period of my life. This lack of full-time jobness. It's really beginning to get to me. People think it's so great that you have all this free time. And we agreed that there must be disciplined people out there who could make the best of it, but we're not among them. I do best under pressure. Juggling too much rather than too little.
Ugh. Hate feeling so useless. I feel boring.
Today includes meeting Uz for the protest rally down at the Federal Building. She sent me an email yesterday about it. It's for the removal of our troops from Iraq. I posted this over at
seattle and it's sparked some comments. Some bitchy, some interesting. Hopefully the protest organizers will have more information, because at this point I don't know very much about it.
Looking forward to dinner with Jemma and Ann tonight. They're such utter sweethearts. Too bad all of our schedules are so wonky, it'd be nice to get some sort of regular meeting plan down for Stitch N Bitch. I'd love to see more of them.
Decided I'm very unhappy with Ellen's quilt. The black looks stark instead of striking. Will take to Judy for second opinion. It's not looking as I wanted it to, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to tear it apart at the seams and back up 6 steps. Oh well. It'll be worth it. Making steady progress on Mo's scarf, but god the colors... too many colors. Fear I'll go blind from all the damn purple.
