We had an entertaining flurry of emails with Torsten and Deborah (quite possibly the most beautiful woman alive) earlier. We're trying to set up a double dinner date thingie and they are very cool. We're going to have dinner at B&O Espresso next next weekend. Whoop!
Anyhow, for tonight, I agreed to meet Jeff around 6 at his place.
He got home early, yay, and I got there early, more yay and thus more Jeff time. Jeff pried me off of Brutus, The Most Beautiful Cat In The History Of The World. We walked to Rudy's avec Brian, Jeff's adorable, babbly roommate. Brian is a complete sweetie and cracks me up. Brian was alarmed that the walking route Jeff selected would get us killed, fearing that Jeff would die and he'd end up with the cat. I immediately said that I would take Brutus. In fact, I would take Brutus NOW. In fact, my plan was now to toss Jeff in traffic. I pointedly walked between them as we crossed Broadway, but happily no one had to die. I still want Brutus, though. God, what a gorgeous animal.
Après haircuts, we walked to The Deluxe. Jeff scores major points just on the sheer number of terrific places he's introduced me to.
Afterwards, we walked Brian back home to play Halo and rest his injured leg. Jeff and I walked on for some coffee and one-on-one time. I think everyone in the world knows I love Jeff (as I stop complete strangers on the street to inform them of this; I'm having a tee-shirt made up, etc). I just wish everyone could know how incredible he is. Well, I'm sure everyone who knows him knows this. Just the rest of you miserable bastards who are Jeff-less.
Great conversation. Coffee. I bought a Toffee Bar thingie. Jeff noted halfway through eating it that he doesn't even bother to ask if he can have some of my whatever anymore. Which of course is one of the ten billion things that I find adorable about him.
I hate that I don't have his company guaranteed twice a week. He was worth doing homework for!
