I hate the fucking iMac.
Or maybe I should be fair and say that I hated the iMacs at the computer lab I was in the other night. Computer labs in general madden me because I can't install the software of my choice at will. No Firefox. Shackled between Netscape 4.0 and IE 5. Neither able to run Gmail. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I know people love their Macs. That's fine. I'm not advocating their extinction from the planet. I don't wanna hear about it. But every time I sit down at a Mac I end up seething in frustration.
I hate the fucking iMac.
That is all.

We had iMacs in the computer labs at umich, and they made me homicidal. Brh.

Date: 2004-09-03 06:27 am (UTC)I remember those homicidal lab days for you, too. God. I'm sure every Mac-lover out there is shaking their head in disgust at our lack of enlightenment, but OMFG.
We haaaaaaaaaaates them.

Date: 2004-09-03 10:20 pm (UTC)To quote my good friend (and mac hater), cat...
Muhahahaha!
Don't worry. You will all understand soon. Very soon. Steve Jobs still has a few tricks up his sleve. You think they call them i-PODs for nothing?

Date: 2004-09-03 11:08 pm (UTC)And someday? You WILL love When Harry Met Sally. I know you have it in you to overcome this terrible character flaw. Until then, I will grudgingly have to continue my adoration of you. *sulk*

Date: 2004-09-04 05:05 am (UTC)Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, the SUNSHINE BOYS!
Date: 2004-09-04 06:01 am (UTC)Here is a picture of the two lads before it all began (ie-note the copious quantities of PITH AND VINEGAR.) The scruffy, Manson-like sasquatch on the left is Steve Jobs (who, apart from a shave and ten billion bucks doesn't look much different twenty years later), and the dopey-looking dude on the right is the pre-billionair "WOZ." He actually looks MUCH better these days than he did then. I don't know WHAT the hell his mother was thinking, letting him go out of the house like that. :)
Re: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, the SUNSHINE BOYS!
Date: 2004-09-04 06:07 am (UTC)Did he run around grabbing people and howling: 'DO YOU LOVE ME?!?!?!?' at them, too?

Date: 2004-09-04 12:22 am (UTC)Couldn't prove it by ME. According to MY 'records' every time you sit down at a Mac you fall asleep like a baby that's just been fed a pint of warm milk. ;P~

Date: 2004-09-04 05:09 am (UTC)Well. I was seething so hard, the only alternative was to just GO TO SLEEP!
It's funny. I stayed in the lab because I was afraid if I ventured into the lounge, I would fall asleep on that couch.
Those lab chairs were either remarkably comfortable or I was remarkably tired!

That risotto alone is worth overlooking that minor, if sinister, flaw.
