i can smell your brains
Sep. 11th, 2004 12:03 amYeah. No idea why I'm not in bed.
SO FUCKING TIRED.
Had a marvelous day with
brabble. After running around all day doing things, came home to chill. After much geekery, we set off to the most perfect meal ever consumed in the history of the universe. This miraculous event took place at Cafe Bizarro in Wallingford. We were quite ravenous when we got there and were seated after a reasonable (if agonizing to us) fifteen minutes.
I think this is one of my favorite Seattle places. The ambiance is quirky fun, the staff is exceptional, and you essentially swoon into your food. We started with some foccacia and salad. Then the Rigatoni Margahrita with Italian sausage. Both Sarah and I agreed to stop before capacity because we wanted to split their decadent chocolate cake. It was with great restraint that we didn't shove the entire contents of our plates down our throats.
It was worth it. The chocolate cake was to DIE for. Layers of light cake with dark chocolate mousse, topped with icing. Holy shit that was amazing.
Energized by food, we drove downtown to B&N to browse and essentially have catty fun reading People's Best & Worst Dressed issue. Ahhh nothing like bitchily dissing celebrities.
I finally bought Eat, Shoots & Leaves and plan on tucking into bed with it soon.
Um. Make that now.
