Had a fantastic night out with Jeff. We have a peculiar fate-glitch that causes restaurants to bizarrely be closed. You'd think I'd call and check and make sure places are open by now. Anyhow, we'd planned to go to Pair. We were both very excited. I got there and naturally it's closed on Sundays. I hate that. Jeff arrived a few minutes later and we mused about alternatives. After all our excitement about Pair, we figured we couldn't just go anywhere, it had to be special.
What's more special than Cafe Bizarro?
Jeff was nice enough to drive so we commenced with catching up en route to Wallingford. Yay for no waiting on a Sunday night. And thank fucking god they were actually open.
Seth, who I'm always lucky to get as a waiter, is the most adorable thing on feet. He always remembers me and there's always hugging and kissing involved. We ordered some amazing pasta. I ordered the same thing, again (which Seth has memorized), because it's so fucking good. Rigatoni Margharita with Italian Sausage. And the Gornut salad (gorgonzola and walnuts in a gorgonzola dressing *drool*). Also, I think I'm starting to like red wine. I've always preferred whites, but when Jeff ordered some Chianti, I eschewed my standard diet pepsi. It's exciting to pretend to be refined now and then.
Food was consumed and, as always, there was much laughter. I made Jeff go check out the Alice in Wonderland themed bathroom because it's beautiful and designed by the ever-frisky Seth. While Jeff was in the bathroom, Seth bear hugged me and said, "I don't know why, but I think I love you." I told him it was very mutual. Hee.
Finished off with the orgasmic chocolate fondant cake. Purrrr.
Did I mention both Jeff and I are restarting our diets this Monday?
