buggerfuck
Dec. 10th, 2003 06:32 pmHauled ass to Fred Meyer after work to get key made for Ellie, and got home only to find the blasted thing doesn't work. Fuckity fuckity fuckity. So annoyed. That means I've got to hurry out there again tomorrow and get another one made, come home and test it out AGAIN. If it doesn't work, someone is going to get hurt.
What worries me is that my original key isn't the most amazing either. It works fine from the garage, but not so fine from the main door (have to stand there in the rain jiggling it for 5 minutes). which is probably why the copy didn't work. Grrrr.
I'd leave Ellie my own key, but I'm taking a shuttle back more than likely because I'm coming back at an awkward time of day. Shit. Shit. Shit. May have to do that anyway and figure out a way to have her leave it where I'm leaving my car, or something. I repeat: Grrrr.
I did, despite my rage, get home and clean up most of the place. Just need to do the bathroom tub and vacuum. Oh, and put away the laundry I'm doing now. Very excited to have a freshly made bed in new flannel sheets. Purrr.
Of course, with this cyclone of activity coming to an end, there remains only one thing left to do. *sob*
My homework.
Which, actually, since it's for TC401, I don't mind. It's just preparing for the test, and making sure I have all the concepts at the forefront of my mind. I love this class. I wish we had a longer term with it.
In other exciting news, I bought the X-men Collection dvd today.
It's funny how certain hobbies find you and become a part of your life when you weren't even looking. I would never have thought that my life would be so utterly surrounded by comic booky things. I bought the X-men dvd today, I'm re-reading Sandman nightly as I go to bed. I'm eagerly awaiting the 5th Astro City "Local Heroes" series. And I enjoy these things with the same zeal I once reserved for "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Pride and Prejudice"
Obviously I'm not saying that people can't enjoy both.
Ok, enough fucking around. Homework. Now.
