verbicideSo I finally did the thing I've been avoiding for over a month now. I cleaned out the fridge. It was revolting. When you can't identify the things within the tupperware, it's reasonable to assume you're not going to ever eat them again.
It's just been so busy lately that I just kept shoving things to the back and figured I'd deal with it on a free weekend. Well, that weekend is here.
That was disgusting. Immediately had to run it downstairs to the dumpster. Ick.
Most of the dishes are done, I've gone grocery shopping and picked up Jeff's present.
The overall game plan is to clean clean clean. Kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, balcony. Vacuum. Sweep. Mop. Little Green Clean Machine the carpet where Hobbes' has made his contributions. More laundry. Including towels and bedding and bathroom carpet.
And then start on the projects in a clean happy home.
I'd like to finish Ellie's quilt first and foremost. Get that out of the way because it's really almost done. Just have to add the final trim and assemble the padding and back, and then tie it all together. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, I wasn't sure if the colors and patterns were going to look nice. And now that I have a digital camera (thank you again Judy and John!) I will be able to take a picture of it! Whee!
After that I'd like to start Cookie Project II. This round will be for the people I hadn't gotten addresses for in time and family. I'm mailing a box to Sarah's family because I love them. I think my parents would love a box and so would Big Brother J and sister-in-law S. OB and Em already got a box when K was visiting. Also, Judy demanded extra cookies. And she can be quite bossy.
Tomorrow I want to tackle my dresser and closet, purging excess clothing I never wear. Also, poss the linen closet and coat closets. Maybe the trunk of my car. I need to go buy a filing cabinet. Everything's just been dumped into a document box, but it's disorganized and irritating. Maybe I'll also tackle my desk drawer thingie. Also need to deal with the book boxes and poss reorganize existing bookshelves because they've become a mess.
I have some beautiful dark blue, light blue and cream yarn that I want to knit into a scarf for cousin H.
Okay then. Off to clean the kitchen!
