Baking cookies and watching the cast commentary of RotK.
I want Karl Urban soooo badly, it's not even funny.
Had a wonderful day. Finished cleaning and fitted motherboard into new case. 99% done with Ellie's quilt, just need to finish the four corners. I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's not perfect, but I can see that my quilting skills are improving.
Jeff came over around 2 and we hung out chatting and then set out for U Village. I'd fallen in love with this scarf at Eddie Bauer, but hadn't bought it. Stupidly, it turns out, because it's gone now. Not available there. They're not expecting more. And I can't find it in the catalogue. *pout*
I'm very picky about things and that was just the perfect scarf. Oh well.
We had a leisurely late lunch at Piatti and I expressed to Jeff that I believe I'm really Italian. He told me he believes he's really Indian (close enough to Paki-land). Lunch was great, conversation was great, and as I can't possibly say enough: Jeff is great. We've both fallen off our diet regime but swear to renew efforts and will be each other's diet buddies. So much easier to do this with a friend. And as much as I love Judy, she's an official twig now and thus less believable when commiserating about the size of one's ass. (Sorry, Jude.)
Tomorrow: NOT WORKING! Whee! Have taken the day off and can run some errands.
- Finish baking cookies and package for shipping
- Actually mail out the boxes of cookies
- Get car an emission's test
- Get plates updated because they've technically expired but still have Dec 04 so figure am okay, but don't want to push it
- Grocery shop and meal plan for the work week (and actually bring lunch instead of just saying that I need to bring lunch)
- Install Adobe Framemaker and complete at least Lesson One
I've been waking up pretty early with a lot of energy, so I actually hope to accomplish the above. If there's time left over I will go ahead and sort out the clothing I want to donate to charity and purge my drawers and closet of Things I Will Never Wear Again.
Also: don't forget to pick up
brabble from the airport! It'll be so nice to have Sarah back. I've really missed her this weekend!
