Sound of Music Sing-a-Long was a blast!!

We dressed John in gingham cap affixed with bright yellow dairy-maid braids and a pinafore and coaxed him into the costume contest. Judy, a nun clutching her favorite things, accompanied him, proclaiming this her brave thing of the year. I pointed out that the year was almost over and got a dirty look for my efforts. Muhaha.

Today's gone by remarkably fast. I have ten million errands to do (clean, grocery shop as there is no food in the place, deposit paycheck) and don't want to do any of them. Slothful tendencies acquired over the long weekend are hard to shake off. Find self making excuses like "Sarah will understand if I don't mop" and "Have pizza delivery options, so how important really is orange juice?"

Big bro O came by today. Yay!! I tacklehugged the poor guy and nearly knocked him off his feet. He very patiently looked at my new shoes and made all the appropriate sounds. He changed my light bulbs in all the tall fixtures that I can't reach (or really, don't want to perch on furniture to do). We caught up and ensured that yes both of our lives were dandy. He came by when I was still at work and expressed the curious bemusement every one in the family has about my telecommuting job, "So what is it you do again?," and peered fascinatedly at the ten million open applications on my monitor that enable me to pay for rent and Purina One. He's very computer savvy but I think he's just amazed that someone regularly pays me to do this stuff, and hey, I'm amazed someone regularly pays me, too, so I can't blame him. While I launch myself out of bed at 9:59am for my 10:00am meetings, he has the most godawful commute known to man (Port Orchard to Bellevue, yeowch) and wakes up when I'm often going to bed (4am). *shudder* Happily, he's ok with this.

I can't believe this is the same brother I fought like cats/dogs with as a kid. He's so adorable *coos* and I don't see him nearly enough. Also talked with eldest bro J yesterday and that was, as always, vastly entertaining. Dammit, I want to see my nephews NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!

In other excitement, I can't wait for Sarah to get here. Wooo!! RotK maybe, PS2 definitely, ahhhhhh *runs amok* I can't believe it's only the day after tomorrow.

I have no idea where the entire month of December went.
