Just woke up from the weirdest dream Had gone to LA and was returning. Got away with leaving the house with shorts on, and left my entire suitcase at home. Got to seatac and for some reason had to walk back home, which really isn't possible. But I made it to some cafe, where Judy had once told me was walking distance from where I live, but not really walkable. It was through a dodgy neighborhood. And I had to leave this cafe-house in the weirdest way. I had to slide down a gravel rock slide and pass all these strange people. And I called Judy, but it turned out that I'd called home to O and he was very weirdly sarcastic and downright incomprehensible. So I kept saying: what? Then he wouldn't want to answer. But he agreed to bring my suitcase with him, and I was relieved because I really wasn't going to have any clothes to wear.

Huh.

*wanders back to bed then*

Ahh. So got a call from O. Instead of coming over, we're meeting for breakfast somewhere in Wallingford. Close to the freeway. Apparently they've had a late start and from what I could hear of Em's voice in the background, she's miffed.

I wonder if she's mad that they're stopping by. I suppose I could have said not to worry, but if I did that each time, I'd never see O again. And ok yes: I WANT MY PRECIOUSSS.

Apparently this place is right off the freeway and they want to have a bite to eat, too.

Never turn down a free breakfast, friends.

So freshly showered and thus WIDE awake, I need to get dressed and out the door in the next half hour. No big deal there.

Just. Got. The Precious.

Must go set it up now and yes yes that's what I'll be doing all day. Wheeee!!

PS2 Yay.

Final Fantasy X-2 is umm. Well. It's rather hilarious.

It's like an anime version of Charlie's Angels. Square can usually be counted on for superskanky bizarre outfits, but it's added an extra heap of twitchy squealy girls. It's like Final Fantasy Barbie Dreamhouse. You can swap out 'dresspheres' and these different outfits give you different powers. Like um Songstress. Where you can do the Samba of Silence. No, I couldn't possibly be making that up. What's next? Disco of Death? It's utterly bizarre...but not un-fun.

I could slap myself, though. I got the system and the game before getting my memory card back. So basically I'm going to have to replay what I've done thus far. I finally wrenched myself away, realizing that the more I play, the more painful this will be.

And shitshitshit. Need to read 50pgs a night of bookclub book (Hotel New Hampshire) to meet deadline by next Sunday. Ack. Ok, will start that now.

So finished the first 50 pages of Hotel New Hampshire. It's pretty interesting so far. The account of the bear upset me a bit. I hate the thought of wild animals forced to live outside of nature.

The next two weeks are going to be busy. Big projects to finish up for school. I'd like to join the Ballard pool and get back to swimming. I can't believe this school term is almost over. How is that possible? I moved here in such a crazy flurry of activity back in September. I feel like I've been here five minutes going on forever. How is that possible?

It'll be so nice to visit home. Hard without Hobbes, of course, but Ellie will take good care of him. I always feel a bit like Maggie from Peter's Friends, which I am the only person in the known universe to have seen, apparently.

It's been such a nice long weekend, I feel almost ready to take on work tomorrow morning, instead of sniveling: it's too soon, too soon!

I may actually get to bed at a decent hour, and wake up early to work out.
