Goddamn that was a good dinner. But a loooooooooooooooooooooong one. J and CS picked me up around 6:30 and we set off for downtown. They are hilarious together and they banter pretty incessantly. Reminds me of my big brother and me, really. J was disregarding CS's suggestions for how to get to Belltown but he listened to meeeee *preen* and then he said I was smart, so that made my night. J is the CEO. He is an incredibly nice guy and an incredibly considerate boss (or boss's boss) but initially he comes across as terrifyingly intimidating. So this was a big step for me. Actually joking around with him.

We made it to El Gaucho alive. Whether we would accomplish this was in question a few times as J has a tendency to think road signs are for other people and has no problem entering an onramp clearly marked DO NOT ENTER. CS's shriek made it kinda worth it. Hee. Anyhow. El Gaucho. Valet parking. We strolled inside and J led us around for a quick tour. He was very excited about the place, which I think is sweet. He loves their cigar room. Though I don't think he actually smokes cigars.

Details, details. )

Apropos of nothing, I have "Santa, baby" in my head.

I've also resolved to finally get off my ass about the free ipod thing. We really wants one. But omfg the price tag on that thing is OFFENSIVE. So I'm not going to post the link thing because I'm sure everyone is sick to death of seeing them, but just wanted to bitch about it.

I signed up for dvds and cds today under webmail accounts and need those to clear. Really irritated about how limited the selections were at Columbia House. BMG had a huge range of things you could select. They had a few items locked off for Member's Only, but it was hard to find 5 things I actually wanted from Columbia House. Brh. Now I'll just need one more offer completed. I have no idea how fast they send them out. Or if they really do. Though Sarah knows someone who actually got one. I know. It sounds suspect.

But $400!! For a little music thing! It's a fucking outrage. *hates Apple*

But it doesn't stop me from wanting one, does it.

I have so much crap I need to be doing, but I'm not doing any of it. I just keep wasting time. And now it's nearly 3 in the afternoon.

At least I tossed out tons of trash and am doing laundry and the dishes. Nothing's horribly messy but there's a general lot of untidiness around. Especially in the bedroom. I'm in that particularly mature state where you close your eyes and plug your ears and sing 'bla bla bla.'

All I want to do, and I think ultimately am going to do, is sit in front of the telly and watch comfort-movies. I really feel like watching A Room With A View. I used to dreamily relate to Lucy Honeychurch, but now, a decade later, I realize I am going to be Charlotte Bartlett.
