come on people

Not enough of you guys posted between last night and this morning. I had very little to read this morning, dammit!
It's too early to call Sarah, but she is eventually going to come over and we're going to hit Greenlake. Yay fresh air and exercise.
I had a lovely time at Sahara last night with Rob and Kelly--they are the sweetest guys. Rob is a character. He is funny and catty and delightful, but sniffles at sappy movies. It's adorable. And Kelly is the epitome of sweetheartness. The man has soulful eyes or something. I always feel bathed in warm acceptance or something. He's funny, too, but quieter and they make a very cute couple. They snatched the bill up despite my mewling protests. I was very glad I splurged on dessert waiting back at home (a white cake with raspberry, Bavarian cream, macaroons and covered with a marzipan fondant--so pretty. oooh I can take a picture even though it's been cut into.)
I always feel like such a bad hostess because my couch-thing is so small and fits one comfortably or two very skinny guys (which happily Rob and Kelly both are). I need a full sized couch. And a dining room table. Of course I also need a flat that isn't the size of a postage-stamp. Hrm.
So I watched Ray last night. Great acting. Great direction. But it didn't do much for me except make me rabidly hate men.
Next was Maria Full of Grace, and that I loved. That girl is stunning. And it was a depressing, but good story. Gah, 17. I remember being that naive.
Today I should try to watch Before Sunrise.
I also need to run to the grocery store to get: more white chili ingredients, the remaining paella ingredients, and ingredients for the marble cheesecake squares I'm making for KC and Jen's tonight.
It's amazing how much more you feel you can do on a long-weekend Sunday. I know I have to work a bit tomorrow, but I can sleep in and not just dive into a heavy work week. And then of course Tues-Fri just go by much faster. To recap: I wish I only worked a 4-day week but was paid for a 5-day week. The end.
Oh my god. Oh my god. What the fuck am I doing typing here. I haven't set up my TiVo yet. I think I don't really believe it exists and thus keep trying to distract myself from the inevitable disappointment. But I'm going to go do that RIGHT NOW!
