sunday fun
Feb. 13th, 2005 11:50 pmIt was so warm out today. And sunny!
I met up with Sarah's folks at the Seattle Underground Tour. My first time! It's really a lot of fun, and I think it's something my dad would get kick out of when he visits. Sarah wasn't able to make it, so I offered to hang out with her wonderful fam and we had a blast. Afterwards we set out for U Village to grab a bite and I dropped them off at UW (Sarah's sis is here checking out colleges) just as it started to rain. I love Sarah's family, so this was a rare treat. Damn MN for being so far away.
After dropping them off I went grocery shopping. I was so good! Veggies and fruit and fat free yogurt. Some ground turkey and skinless, boneless chicken breasts. That's right, baby. Training starts tomorrow and I am ready! I'd like to set a meal plan the night before and shoot, I also need to pack my gym bag and grab some more upbeat tunes for my nomad. I want an ipod. Grrr.
God, it's already 11:30. I so need to be in bed because I have to get to work by 8:30 instead of 9, so I can leave for Amanda's class. Sunday nights are teh suck! I may love my job, but I love weekends even more. And they're never, ever long enough.
I'm hoping to get some of the books I've recently ordered (because I don't have enough on my To-Read pile as it is, urgh):
Lucifer: Devil in the Gateway, Book 1 by Mike Carey (recommended by
desdenova)
The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon (recommended by
jeff_nw)
The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter (recommended by
pinkminx)
Signing up for Amazon Prime may have been a dangerous thing. I just chirp to myself that it's free shipping, but it would behoove me to remember that I still pay for the actual items and friggin' sales tax since I live in Seattle.
Ahhhhhh must stop typing and go to bed!
