ack addiction
Mar. 7th, 2005 11:42 pmShould sleep... can't stop watching Veronica Mars... too good... too engrossing... three... more... episodes... to... go...
Also, I'm fairly sure having a wild cherry diet pepsi would be a really bad idea right now. A really bad one. I need to buy more diet Snapple. Cause omg good. And no caffeine! So hrm. No no, no diet pepsi. Will resist. And really, should go to bed after this episode and watch the other two tomorrow. Because fuckaduck, once these three eps are over, I'll have to wait for one a week. And have to deal with the irritation of re-runs and Movies-of-the-Week. Dear god, what if they don't sign it on for a second season.
I haven't liked a tv show like this in ages. Since Buffy. I mean, I love Lost and watching Survivor keeps my profanity fresh, and my blood pressure high. But quirky fun is hard to find and often quickly cancelled, especially those shows cursed with critical acclaim and bad network numbers. Fuck them all for putting it on a Tues night against Amazing Race and Scrubs. Why couldn't they put it on Monday night when there's nothing else to watch? Eh? Eh? Can't we spread the joy across the week instead of grouping it on two days. Grr, argh.
Wow, going to bed early lasted all of one day. And really I didn't turn off the light until 11. *sheepish*
In other news, work was frantic. But that means the day went by fast. I really like my current projects, but they make me nervous because if I fuck up, I fuck up in front of my boss's boss. So, yeah. Going to try not to do that. The deadlines are crazy, but I prefer it to vague deadlines off in the distance.
After much mental exertion, I was ready for the gym. Had a decent workout. Then, I ran to the grocery store to pick up cat food and yogurt and yay cheerios! Got home and started dinner (balsamic chicken with mushrooms) and waiting for Judy. She arrived shortly after, and we started a pretty non-stop stream of babble. Dinner and chatting. Suddenly it was 10pm. Whoops. I walked Judy to her car and off she went (after insisting on driving me back--it was either that or she was going to drive 2mph next to me).
I really want a diet pepsi. Wild cherry diet pepsi is spectacular. It lacks the horrible chemical aftertaste of the lemon/lime varieties. God, it's only Monday.
Tomorrow's gonna hurt.
