Bookclub was good. Some new people, which was nice. The Da Vinci Code is really a book you read superfast and then desperately want to talk to people about, so I'm glad I went, in spite of the migraine.
Headache status:
I took a massive, prescription strength motrin before leaving, and had a nice quiet lie-down with Hobbes for 15 minutes in the dark and then ordered that large latte the minute I got to the U Village. The headache went away, happily, but I don't trust it not to return. I also don't know if it was the medication, the caffeine or a mixture of both that made it go away, and at this point I don't much care. I'm still afraid to move my head too fast or listen to anything loud or sit in a bright room. Actually, looking forward to going to bed tonight (whenever that happens; thank you, latte) because I know I'll sleep, and I know it'll be better by tomorrow (well, assuming it follows its traditional path).
Oh shit shit. I forgot to tape/watch that A&E Making of RotK. Bugger. I wanted to see that and fixed my vcr, too.
Also, I think I've decided to give up eating beef for now. And it is with no small amount of sheepishness that I realize that my fear/avoidance of death via BSE is largely motivated by wanting to live long enough for the Return of the King EE dvd and the Potter books.
I'm content in my shallowness, thankyouverymuch.
Now I think I'll go watch a nice darkly-lit movie in the dark.
