I really didn't want to see it, but was intrigued by the rave reviews. And as much as I felt like I was smoking crack throughout it, it was damn entertaining. And even Johnny Depp's 'vampire-in-the-middle-of-a-sex-change' (Entertainment Weekly) performance was pretty hilarious.
It was a lot truer to the book to me than the Gene Wilder version, which I have no intense childhood nostalgia for, so yay. And so yeah. It was fun and I'm really glad we went.
I did almost fall asleep during the movie, because I was fucking tired. I came home and immediately passed out asleep. It was glorious.
And whoops, I need to go do that now as there is the thing we call WORK tomorrow.
