dtaylor). Who is amazing and wonderful. And I get to visit here sometime this month! *bounce* Where she will see what a complete spazz I am. But that should come as no surprise, really.
She's recovering nicely from her hip replacement surgery and we chatted, though she very gently diverted me from my frustrated political ranting.
Note to self: Let's not raise the blood pressure of people recovering in the hospital, ok?
Note to self, II: Freaking plug her name into your cell phone so you don't sound retarded for the first 3 minutes of the call as you try to identify her. In fact, I should go do that right freaking now. There. Did that, finally.
Dawn's call had the added benefit of ripping me away from the news for five minutes. Which, I don't know that I'm helping anyone sitting in front of a screen in my underwear for half the day. I have a bad tendency to fixate. Must stop that now. I just wish so much that I could do something.

In randomness, I had this convoluted dream about Karl Urban. Just sort of out of the blue. I met him at some festival, and ended up sitting next to him and was completely squeeing out of control in my own head but trying to be calm, talking to him just casually. And I wanted so much to be hot enough for him to be fascinated by me, but realized that realistically I was just some pleasant woman he was talking to. And then some stunning woman came by and stole him. Sigh. I don't even get to be prom queen in my dreams.

I need to make four pies for the huge bbq thing for my friend KC. And thus I need to go to the store to buy pie-making supplies right now. I'm dorkily pleased because my friends made a special request for me to make these. The stuff I bring to our parties is always well-received, but it's flattering to get a special request. Also, as they are the least time-intensive, easiest things I've ever made—bonus!
