zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Sep. 22nd, 2005 01:50 pmI am so sleepy today.
Trying to slog through some stuff at work and not fall asleep on my desk. Randomly, I'm anxious that Judy won't like her birthday present because as we've all aged, we've gotten much more particular. I give it to her Friday night and wait to see what she thinks.
A group of us has gathered to see Flight Plan on Friday night, which will be fun. I love Jodie Foster. And I'll go see just about anything she's in (except Nell). And so many other exciting people are in it, like Sean Bean! Sarah and I are also going to see The Corpse Bride on Saturday at some point, and I plan on seeing A History of Violence at some point.
Caught up with some TV last night.
Lost: I wasn't sure I was going to watch it this season because I felt like they'd already gone the ugly way of Alias towards the end of last season, but I'm cautiously intrigued again. It was an interesting episode. While I'm not falling for the 'all will be revealed, next episode!' type promise given to us at the end, I'll watch it (while taping the premiere of Veronica Mars--a surprisingly excellent show) and just see what I think.
It's still so convoluted, etc, that I have little faith they're going to be able to pull this off with a satisfactory explanation.
Most unbelievable part: Maybe I'm naive, because nice people do certainly make the most fucktarded choices in their love lives, but I can't believe that Sarah was all set to marry that seedy, gold-medallion-bedecked creep who dumped her the second he found out she might not be able to make boom-boom with him anymore and might require nursing care.
House: I still enjoy it. The medical stuff is interesting. I find Hugh Laurie's character entertaining to watch, but the music Has Got To Go. That emotional, stirring muzak that they cue up to tell me that This Is A Sad Moment or This Is Where The Character Reflects Moment drives me crazy. But I like the team (especially when Cameron isn't the focus) and it's been cool watching the team learn to roll their eyes and become toughened to the way House treats them.
Also, I have no idea what to think about Chase and The Kiss. I hid under my blankie, shrieking.
Sarah: OMG, He kissed her
Me: *shriek* HE DID? *peers out from blanket*
Sarah: Hee! No!
Me: BITCH! *hides*
Sarah: OMG, he did it!
Me: Shut the fuck up!
Sarah: No, seriously!
Me: *shrieking and thrashing*
Because, omg he did that. So disturbing. I mean, I don't think he's the devil or anything. Because that was a tough situation. I thought it was a well done scene. But, hello lawsuuuuuuuuuuit.
