For some reason, I've TiVo'd an episode of Quantum Leap. I'm pretty sure it's for a guest star that matters to me, but as I watch this, I'm reminded of how much I loved this show.

Awww, Scott Bakula. *pets*

Oooo, it was for Jennifer Aniston. I was curious to see her pre-Friends. She looks so young. It's kinda cute.

I LOVED Quantum Leap. Sam and Al were two of my favorite characters, EVAR.

I have the whole thing queued on Netflix. don't ask me what I'll do when it finally arrives :)

Ooooo I'm a bit jealous! I may have to Netflix those, too!

Even watching it now, it doesn't carry that patina of cheese that so many nostalgia shows do.

I may have to start TiVo-ing this.

It really is a quality show. Al is such a lecherous devil.

Ahhh... the joys of QL. ^_^

My dad taped every single episode on VHS when they were on TV, so I have litteraly seen every episode at least once. -Great- series... although it got a little wierd towards the end (and it was depressing as hell at points). I would highly reccomened extended viewing of said episodes! ^_^

I don't quite remember how it ended, but it really was a great series :)

All I remember was a voiceover(?) that Sam never leapt back into his proper time period (ha! he jumped into the body of Capt. Jonathan Archer and was doomed to star in a lackluster Star Trek spin-off!). No, seriously, it was very, very sad - he never made it home.

My favorite episode, though, was the one with Alia, the "Evil Leaper" who flitted in and out of people's lives, fucking them up. It was very creepy.

That sounds vaguely familiar, but it's been so long..

This is one of those shows [livejournal.com profile] hippybngstockng, [livejournal.com profile] drglam, and I used to watch obsessively, back when we all lived together in Massachusetts. (Mostly [livejournal.com profile] hippybngstockng's idea ...)

It was a good show, and with the trailing leap and Sam's trademark "Oh, boy" I watched it pretty obsessively, too.

Yeah, and I was always impressed to see big, white Scott Bakula playing women, children, Afro-Americans, all the while just looking like himself. It was like the kind of thing you'd see in acting class ...

And he did it so graciously, it was very cool.
