Watching the LIVE debate on The West Wing. It's kind of hilarious. They're so feisty!!

It's really immeasurably cute when they stutter. I wish I had satellite so I could have seen the East Coast version. I'm dying to know what parts of this are scripted. Jimmy Smits has said that they had to read position papers and get ready to really debate this stuff, so it's not entirely scripted. Which would explain Alan Alda's complete frozen moment at the start of his opening comments. Unless, of course, that was scripted.

I wanna know, dammit!

I didn't even realize that they did two versions. I Tivo'ed mine - perhaps I'll run it through the VCR and mail you the copy so you can can compare and contrast (although that does seem a lot of effort).

I liked the concept, but, egads, it made Sen. Vinnick seem so cartoonish, and was really like the equivilent of Democratic porn.

The concept was cute. I was wondering if they'd pull off something beyond cute, aaaand not really. But, cute!

I'd always thought it would be interesting to see John Wells pul off a Republican West Wing, but Jimmy Smits is just so much easier on the eyes. And I'm not above being shallow!

I hadn't heard about this--that's fascinating! I wonder which version will make it onto the DVD? Or onto the "A" side of the DVD ...?

Jimmy Smits is SO going to be president: the last thing in the world they'd do to us is END THE SERIES with a Republican president. They know who's watching, and they're not Rush Limbaugh fans!
