Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was fantastic! I slept in until 10 (after a late-late night). Got the turkey out of the fridge, happily worked through stuffing and quiche prep. Sarah and Em came over bearing wine and cheese and exceptionally wonderful rolls (and pumpkin pie!). We watched movies, ate ourselves into a coma, and it was just wonderful. My kitchen is so tiny, and I don't have a dining table, but you realize how little those things matter as you happily sit on the floor and maw away with the people you love. It was glorious.
After our early dinner, we cleaned up (because Sarah and Emily are beyond wonderful and it was orgasmic to come home with everything already put away) and went over to take care of Brutus and Buffy. We also took dessert with us, because we needed some time before the next stage of food. And there we played Trivial Pursuit rather lazily and kept bursting into song. I was pleased with the carrot cake cheesecake. It's not spectacular, but it wasn't bad at all. Brutus and Buffy are beyond adorable and we took turns cooing at them.
Then I drove Em home and realized once it was far too late that I'd left my bag at Jeff's. Doh! Will have to get that tomorrow. But for now, all's well and I really need some sleep but it was a fantastic day.
