Kelly gave me a bag with like 20,000,000 paint chips!

It was so great to see those guys. Rob is amazing, he already has photo albums (with captions) organized; it was great to see their trip pictures. It makes me very excited to get back to Europe and do some sight-seeing myself. They're both such incredibly sweet guys, I can't believe I'm so lucky to know them! And there was fucking snow up there! Like, everywhere! It was The Great White North. Huh! Totally didn't expect it.

In lieu of the cheesecake, I brought another marzipan wonder from Larsen's Bakery. Though I have to admit I'm annoyed with their staff. It took repeated, annoyed questioning to find out from the stupid counter chick last time what the innards were of the cake I got for Sarah's bday, and this time the guy just blithely gave me the wrong information (white cake with raspberry != white cake with bavarian cream and apricot). The cake was fine happily, but they need to conquer the magic of labeling. Hiss.

Then I came home and didn't pack some more. Though Judy has pointed out that I need to resume the 5-box-a-day schedule as of tomorrow. I certainly have enough boxes now thanks to Jeanne.

I've finally found a present I think she'll like, and run it by both John and Jeanne. I was on the phone catching up with Jeff when Judy called on my home line and whispered that she had an answer for my repeatedly nagged question of what to get John. She told me and I excitedly thanked her and then she whispered that she had to go now and hung up. I love that crazy woman. So now I think outside of picking up Jeanne and Ellie's presents, I'm officially done with Christmas shopping. Woo!

When I hung up with Jeff, I realized that it was 10 and now I feel very frantically that I need to go to sleep. Which is not very relaxing. I wonder if I'm just going to be sleep deprived for the next few weeks. I mean, even when I tuck myself into bed, I just can't sleep. And when I do I dream of boxes falling on my head. Literally.

Also, in the middle of the night last night, I think there was a woman singing outside my window. Very Ariel from Little Mermaid (Aaaaa aaaahhh aaaaa aaaa aaaaaaahhh).

And I'm still wide-fucking-awake. And antsy.

Sarah told me once that I need to not see it as "OMGHAVETOSLEEPNOW" but as "Oh, I think I'll just get comfy in bed and just close my eyes for a sec." But I never seem to be able to do that.

Last night Hobbsie was very much about the looove. He was adamant about spooning. If I shifted over any, he'd mutter irritably and scoot over closer, and if at all possible deaden my arm with his entire body weight.

Okay. Fuck. Should go to bed and just close my eyes for a sec.

I know, but I haven't had proper sleep in a week! I have sleep-debt to make up!

And if I get in bed at 10:30, I have a better chance of being asleep before midnight!

Not even as in-between-packing snacking?

Don't sass me, missy.
