another riveting to-do list

verbicideToday went by so fast, my head is still spinning.
I did sleep in wonderously late and got up to run a few errands at Fred Meyer and to pick up leetle Emily to head toward Sarah's with a quick pit stop at the store and to meet Jeanne to loan her my size-15 needles.
Then Emily and I reached Sarah's and what I love about us is after a quick hello, we fell upon our gifts like she-wolves. Rip, tear, pounce! Sarah got me a fabulous game called Dirty Minds. My own special gift is to pervert the most innocuous of words and I can't help it. I've got a naturally lecherous mind. She also got me a small, portable GONG. Which is soon going to be the bane of Jeff's existance. Muhahahahahahahaaaa! Emily got me Apples to Apples, which is a game I've blathered about loving but been somehow unable to procure. I was really happy that they liked their gifts, too! I'm rotten at keeping my own secrets (as should be obvious to all who read here) and I'm particularly bad at being sneaky about gifts because I'm so excited about them that holding out for the appropriate exchange date is something I find excrutiating. But I managed this time, whee!
Sarah, fabulous hostess-she, had a lovely spread laid out for us and there was much ravenous consumption and playing of both games to much shrieking delight. Sarah's tree is so pretty and it was a really lovely bit of Christmas.
Then it was time for me to scamper off to Jeff's place. As I got ready to leave, I whimpered a bit about packing and paint chips and wonderful Sarah is coming over tonight to do her laundry and whip me into a packing frenzy. I get a lot of energy from my close friends, so it's my version of being solar-powered. If Sarah's here, I'll do 10x the amount of work than if I skulk around moping alone. Also, Sarah gave me some more boxes. I haven't run out yet, haven't even assembled the ones Jeanne gave me, yet, but I'd rather have extras for when I actually get down to do it.
I love Chris and Jeff's place. It's such a warm and cozy place to be that pet sitting is always somewhat lovely. I snuggled with the kitties and fed them and took a little nap. I napped on the couch and then I went upstairs to find Buffy and sacked out on top of their bed with her for a bit. Just being in their space is comforting, even with them not around. Then I drove home and immediately straightened up my pigsty of a bedroom as I await Sarah's return from Best Buy and dropping Em off.
So, zee list for tonight and tomorrow
- clear kitchen trash and box up the remaining few big items (crockpot, pasta maker, waffle iron)
- box up game systems and big silver boxes
- box small bookshelf in bedroom and magazines from sidetable
- box up dresser-top and desk-top items
- prepare netflix discs for return
- set aside a week's worth of clothes, and box up everything not planning on wearing, including jackets and shoes
Sarah's going to be doing her laundry here tonight, but then I have about 4 loads ahead of me to do, and will do them late tonight and throughout tomorrow.
